The 20th Anniversary Azerbaijan BakuBuild 2014 International Exhibition, which is the largest building event in the Caspian region, will open its doors on the 22nd of October at the Baku Expo Center.

20 YEARS OF SUCCESS

The 20th Anniversary Azerbaijan BakuBuild 2014 International Exhibition, which is the largest building event in the Caspian region, will open its doors on the 22nd of October at the Baku Expo Center. Over its two decades of existence, the exhibition has become the guiding force on the building market for Azerbaijani and foreign companies and acted as a starting point for many companies that are industry leaders today.

More than 3200 companies from 35 countries have exhibited over 20 years, hosting more than 100 thousand visitors and giving the exhibition the reputation of an effective business platform where contracts are signed and trends on the building services market are determined. The great achievement of the BakuBuild exhibition is the way that it stimulates the development of local production through the introduction of new products and attracting investments onto the market. Every year, the exhibition welcomes thousands of visitors from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Russia and other countries, becoming a vital platform for signing contracts and agreements.

 

CASPIAN CONSTRUCTION WEEK

The opening of BakuBuild will be the start of Caspian Construction Week, which also includes the Aqua-Therm Baku and CIPS Caspian exhibitions. The exhibitions will celebrate their anniversaries with record numbers - 490 companies from 29 countries will exhibit in all of the pavilions of the Baku Expo Center, including the lobby and the open air area.

The calling card of the BakuBuild exhibition is the presence of large national groups of companies with the support of the chambers of trade and industry of these countries. 7 national groups from Hungary, Germany, Italy, Iran, Spain, UAE and Portugal will be at the exhibition this year, with the Hungarian group making their debut. The largest groups are from Italy (74 companies), Germany (21 companies) and UAE (19 companies). There will also be large groups from Turkey (42 companies), Greece and China. Debut exhibitors that have chosen BakuBuild as a launchpad for the promotion of their products on the market of the Caspian region comprise 48% of the total number of exhibitors, while 40% of the exhibitors are Azerbaijani companies that include producers, distributors, consulting companies and construction industry services.

The General Sponsor of the exhibition will be the Corella brand, while the AZPOL brand will act as Gold Sponsor. Both brands belong to NB Group, a repeat exhibitor at BakuBuild. Holcim Azerbaijan will act as Registration Sponsor. Gazakh Cement Plant will also be one of the Sponsors of the exhibition. National producers of building materials and machinery are repeat exhibitors at the event, demonstrating improvements in product quality and rising competitiveness compared to foreign companies every year. This trend is reflected at the BakuBuild exhibition. It is a pleasure to see such activity from local producers in the year of Industry declared by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

 

SECTOR

The main trend that will be seen at BakuBuild 2014 is quality and innovations. The construction boom which has reignited in Azerbaijan with renewed strength requires the introduction of the latest machinery and technologies and interesting design solutions which will be demonstrated at the Anniversary BakuBuild exhibition. This year, the exhibition will present a wide range of construction equipment, ceramics, decorative stone, windows and doors, interiors, exclusive sanitary ware and roofing materials. One of the completely new products presented will be the finishing materials from Japan produced from volcanic dust.

Wooden windows, doors and floors will be presented by the leading European brands. Companies will be demonstrating the popular open air "decking" trend for floors in the open air. As a result of the rise in interest towards landscaping in Azerbaijan, a whole range of Italian landscape design companies will bring their original solutions and projects to the exhibition. The construction machinery section which will be in the open air in front of the exhibition complex and which will feature exhibits from leading brands such as Amcador, Iveco, JCB, Hitachi, Hyundai, Manitou, Volvo, Caterpillar, hidromek and many others deserves particular attention.

The Furniture section has also seen significant growth, where well known companies from Azerbaijan, Iran, Italy, UAE, Turkey and Ukraine demonstrate designer bedroom and lounge furniture, original and stylish office and garden furniture, bathroom furniture and many other interesting products. For the first time, producers from Italy and Ukraine will offer elite and exclusive hand made furniture made out of natural materials and various interior solutions for palaces, hotels and private villas to the interiors market of Azerbaijan.

 

BUSINESS PROGRAMME

The exhibition has been accompanied by a substantial business programme for many years, including presentations, seminars and master classes. 6 seminars from Axis Communications, Proteh and Spancrete Global Services will be part of the Caspian Construction Week on the 22nd and 23rd October at the Baku Expo Centre. ANNIVERSARY PROGRAMME

Every BakuBuild exhibition is an annual celebration that gathers the whole construction industry. BakuBuild will feature a special anniversary programme dedicated to its 20 year anniversary this year. The organisers have planned an expanded events programme, one of which is "We build togehter", which took place on 11th October in the Central Botanical Garden. The beautification of one of the central parks of the city has become a tradition at the exhibition. New benches and bird feeders have been contributed by the organisers and exhibitors. Over 50 companies were involved in the event.

A special BakuBuild award will be awarded on the first day of the exhibition on the 22nd of October to the first year student that has received the top marks in their entry exam to the Azerbaijan State University of Construction and Architecture. All of the exhibitors and visitors will be awarded various surprises and souvenirs in honour of the anniversary of the exhibition. Materials related to the anniversary will be published in the printed media produced for the exhibition. This will include the official exhibition catalogue and the "Daily News: Caspian Construction Week 2014" newsletter. The events held for the 20th anniversary will create a special and festive atmosphere at this year's exhibition.

 

CO-LOCATED EVENTS


The 6th Aqua-Therm Baku 2014 exhibition for heating, ventilation, conditioning, water supply, sanitation, environmental protection, pools and alternative energy industry and 7th CIPS Caspian 2014 international security and fire safety exhibition will be co-located with BakuBuild.

The Aqua-Therm Baku 2014 has had held the position of the leading professional HVAC, pool equipment, sauna and spa exhibition in the region for 6 years.

80 companies from 16 countries will exhibit this year, including Azerbaijan, Italy, UAE, China, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and Czech Republic. The geography of the exhibitors was added to by UAE, Serbia, Croatia and Czech Republic. The exhibition presents the leading companies and brands in its sector, which include: Aksima, Alarko Carrier Sanayi, Aquart, Az Filter, Besttecknik, Egeplast Ege Plastik, Euroclima, CVS, Danfoss, Foshan Shunde Yicheng Electric, Futura Form Kompozit ve Reklam Urunleri, Kaskad-Hidro, Mensan Menfez Klima, Metak, Mut Meccanica Tovo, Nenzi-M, Newcond, Sauna Inshaat, Sistem Dogalgaz Teknik, STP, Turan Makine Metal, Yuhuan Huaqiu Plumbing, Zehnder, Yusiko and other important exhibitors. Debut exhibitors will comprise 57% of the total. This year, the main lineup of exhibitors was joined by Azertexnolayn, Azklima, Baku Automation, Besma, Heisskraft, K-Flex, PCM, Soliton, as well as other prominent companies.

Aqua-Therm Baku 2014 will feature a wide range of climate control equipment, ventilation, heating systems, sewage systems, water filters, plastic pipes, fittings, welding equipment, radiators, boilers, water tanks, solar collectors, solar air heaters, cooling units, air ducts, vents , air hoses, gas filters, gas regulators, heat exchangers, and more. Aqua-Therm Baku 2014 will be located in the second and fourth halls as well as the lobby of the Baku Expo Center.

The 7th Caspian CIPS Caspian 2014 exhibition is the only international specialised security and safety exhibition in the region. CIPS Caspian 2014 will present the latest developments from companies from Azerbaijan, Austria, Italy, China, Russia, Turkey, Czech Republic, Sweden and many other countries. Repeat exhibitors at the event include A Yangin Guvenlik Sstemleri, AXIS Communications and many others.

Companies making their debut this year will include Aabacus, Azfire and Arsenal Fire Safety, Bolid, DAHUA (China), Hi Tech Solutions, Honeywell Life Safety, Ozak Gecish Teknolojiler (Turkey), 2N Telekomunikace (Czech Republic), Ren group Service Global, Rusguard, Uni Mechanic and Construction, Olympia Electronics (Greece), Eusebi Impianti (Italy) and other important companies. Azinterra will exhibit together with the famous German SVT BRANDSCHUTZ brand of fire safety equipment.

CIPS Caspian will demonstrate measures for technical safety provision, CCTV and surveillance, emergency and rescue equipment, information security, ID-technologies, gates and many other products. The Fire Safety Systems section will present specialists will well known fire protection systems, fire and security alarms, smoke detectors, specialised fire protection equipment, thermal imaging cameras that can penetrate smoke, protective goggles and other equipment.Equipment featured at the exhibition for the first time will include cash register and storage systems of an international standard, systems for cash operations and safety of currency translation departments, provision of cash collection services with modern security measure and containers for cash transportation with a self destruct sequence.

A range of presentations and seminars will take place as part of the CIPS Caspian exhibition. New technologies and trends in networked video and IP video surveillance will be discussed in Azerbaijan for the first time. There will also be a report on the use of new security surveillance technologies for the automation and management of integrated safety in the fuel and energy complex as well as "pathways to intelligent traffic monitoring".

BakuBuild has had the "UFI Approved Event" status awarded by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) for the last six years.

The organisers of the exhibition are ITE Group Plc and their partner Iteca Caspian LLC. The success of the exhibition is the result of the teamwork of the whole network of ITE Group partners that have been actively attracting international companies to exhibit at the exhibition in Azerbaijan. These included ITE London, EUF (Turkey), GIMA (Germany), ITE Gulf (UAE), International Show Srl. (Italy), ITE China (China) and ITE Poland (Poland).

The latest news from Caspian Construction Week will be immediately placed on the official websites of the exhibitions and in social networks. An official catalogue of exhibitors has been compiled for the exhibitions, which has been a guide to business contacts in the building industry for local producers for many years. Two issues of the Daily News exhibition Newspaper will be released at the exhibition, which will provide information about the exhibitors and events at the exhibition. A special coach shuttle service will operate for the concenience of visitors from N.Narimanov metro station to the Baku Expo Center.
