The National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NAYORA) continues its efforts aimed at coordination of member youth organizations with state and international organizations. Thus, on March 9 representatives of 60 member organizations of NAYORA met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Ghulam Isakzai and other representatives of the UN Office.
During the meeting, Ghulam Isakzai spoke about the opportunities for joint action in achieving sustainable development and implementing the framework of cooperation, signed recently between the United Nations and Azerbaijan. Other guests - Tarek Cheniti, Min Yuan, Yashar Hamzayev and Arina Myassoyed – have also shared their views and suggestions at the meeting. The event was concluded with a Q&A session.
It should be noted that the main purpose of NAYORA is to coordinate the activities of member youth organizations, create conditions for their development, strive for the interests of member organizations at the national, regional and international levels, solve youth problems and protect their rights, ensure solidarity among young people and their organizations in solving national problems.
NAYORA considers its main task to direct the knowledge and skills of young people towards strengthening the independence of Azerbaijan, building a democratic state and raising Azerbaijan’s profile in the international arena.
