Azerbaijan classical mugam performance and pandemic: covid -19
Leading researcher on "Azerbaijan classical mugam performance and pandemic: covid-19" on April 22, 2021 in the scientific research laboratory of BMA named after U.Hajibeyli "Research of oral traditional Azerbaijani professional music and its new directions: Organology and acoustics" , Honored Art Worker, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, Professor ArifAsadullayev held an online seminar.
The rapporteur noted that certain scientific researches were conducted in full compliance with the rules of the strict quarantine regime applied in our country during the pandemic, various scientific problems were studied in depth, various online seminars and online scientific conferences were held, as well as modern information. was carried out with the application of technologies and innovative technical means.
He noted that at present in our laboratory in various areas of musicology, including the determination of amplitude-frequency characteristics of one of the most important acoustic characteristics of the sound wave of the national folk instrument of Azerbaijan kamancha, and thus the science of harmonics, one of the main reasons for its timbre Scientific research is also being conducted to determine the point of view. This research work is another contribution to the musical culture of our people on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Baku Music Academy named after UzeyirHajibayli, its staff and employees of the scientific laboratory.
However, during this period, there were some setbacks and degradations in the national-ethnic instrumental art of Azerbaijan. Thus, in many cases, mugam singing is performed under the guise of free walking and improvisation, almost jazz improvisations and unimaginable, as well as sometimes unknown pieces of music. It is true that today instrumentalists have a high level of performance technique and ability to use the instrument. However, it is unfortunate that they are not able to use these skills beautifully and with great pleasure. They show our music in a very embarrassing way to show their technical capabilities. It is as if they have forgotten that the performer's technique should be aimed at performing the music in a fuller, more dignified, fresh and attractive form and content. In our case, the opposite is often the case.
The speaker further noted that future generations should get some information about the current state of our mughams. Therefore, this was one of my main goals in writing and publishing a note on the current state of our mughams in their current form. Because every mugam singer performs as he wants. For this reason, over time, new changes and degradations appear in our mughams.
At the end of the seminar, the head of the research laboratory, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, Associate Professor NuridaIsmayilzadeh praised the speech of the speaker and expressed his valuable views on the topic. Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, Leading Researcher IminaAliyeva, People's Artist, Associate Professor ZumrudMammadova, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, Chief Researcher MehparaRzayeva, Chief Researcher, ComposerRufatRamazanov, Senior Researcher Zeynal Isayev, Senior Researcher NigarBayramova, Researcher AykhanEfendiyev and other staff members exchanged views on the seminar.
