On April 12, 2018 an Orientation was held at the KOICA Azerbaijan Office for Mr. Farid Hasanov, Pharmacovigilance Specialist of the Pharmacovigilance Department at the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is going to represent Azerbaijan at the KOICA Training Program titled “Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs Management” to be held in Korea on April 15 – May 5, 2018. The Training Program aims to increase capacities of the participants for planning and implementing various Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs Management Strategies. The objective of the training is to design the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs Management Development strategies through understanding strategy and policy of Korea, as well as, strengthen future cooperation in this sphere between two countries. The Implementing Agency of the Training Program is Hyundai Research Institute of the Republic of Korea and 18 participants from 11 countries will participate at the training program. At the Orientation the Country Director of the KOICA Office in Azerbaijan Ms. Park Kumok gave brief information on the KOICA and its activities in Azerbaijan and wished all the best to Mr. Farid Hasanov.
The KOICA is a state agency, which was established under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea in 1991, in order to implement grant and cooperation programs for developing nations. The KOICA has been inviting Azerbaijani public officials to various fellowship and scholarship programs since 1994. As of 2018, the number of KOICA alumni has reached over 630.
