"Benfica" reacted to the scandal in the match with "Real Madrid"

"Benfica" released an official statement after starting UEFA's investigation into Vinicius during the match against "Real Madrid".

According to Idman.Biz, Madrid striker accused Lisbon player Gianluca Prestianni of showing racism on the field. The Portuguese club expressed its readiness to cooperate with UEFA and, recalling the values exemplified by the club's legend Eusebio, emphasized its intolerance to any manifestation of racism.

At the same time, "Benfica" defended the player: "The club reiterates its support and unconditional faith in Prestianni's actions, whose behavior is always characterized by respect for opponents, institutions and the principles that define the identity of "Benfica". We condemn the smear campaign of which the player is a victim."
