Foreigners who filmed unethical videos in the Alley of Martyrs will be released tomorrow

The sentences of three Saudi Arabian citizens - Alzaman Mehdi Ali, Algabr Muhammad Husayn and Algabr Mahdi Muhammad - who filmed and distributed unethical videos on social media in Martyrs' Alley in Baku were reduced from two years to six months.

This decision was made by the Baku Court of Appeal.

Lawyer Rufat Badirli, one of the accused, said that their six-month sentence ends tomorrow. He added that after release, the accused persons will be deported to their countries.

Let us remind you that the Sabail District Court sentenced them to two years of imprisonment.

The incident happened in August last year. According to the indictment, those persons committed unethical actions at the graves of several martyrs in the Alley of Martyrs and spread the video they took there on social media.

All three were charged with Article 245 (Desecration of a Grave) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
