An attempt to cross the customs border of more than 79 kilograms of narcotics was prevented

As a result of the actions carried out by the Astara Customs Department employees, a particularly large amount of narcotics was discovered and removed from illegal circulation.
A thorough customs inspection was carried out with the application of a canine service dog to a vehicle carrying a cargo of "lettuce" from Iran to Russia passing through the territory of Azerbaijan. During the inspection, a large quantity of narcotic drugs - marijuana, with a total weight of 79 kilograms and 820 grams, together with their packaging, was discovered from the vehicle in the form of "lettuce" and hidden from customs control.
The fact is being investigated.
