A photo exhibition called "Night that stops time" was held +PHOTO=14
In connection with the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide, which is one of the most tragic and bloody events in the history of Azerbaijan, a photo exhibition called "The Night That Stopped Time" was held at the National Museum of Azerbaijan History.
AZpress.AZ informs that the main goal of organizing the exhibition is to convey the truths of the tragedy that happened on the night of February 25-26, 1992 to a wide audience, to commemorate the dear memory of the martyrs, and to pass on historical truths to future generations.
Photos, documents and publications dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy are displayed at the exhibition. For the first time, photos of residents of Khojaly, Major Tofig Mirsiyab oglu Huseynov, the National Hero of the Republic of Azerbaijan, documents belonging to Murad Shukurov and a folding knife are exhibited. Among the displayed images, there is also a photo taken by Russian journalist Victoria Ivleva on February 26, 1992, which shows the depth of the tragedy. Aerial photos of Oleg Litvin, Khalid Askerov, Ilgar Jafarov, Sahvalad Eyvazov, Mirnaib Hasan oglu and, for the first time, Eduard Ponyagi are shown at the exhibition.
