Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the "Shirvan Agro" livestock complex in Shamakhi

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the "Shirvan Agro" livestock complex in Shamakhi district on March 23.

The head of the Shamakhi District Executive Authority, Tahir Mammadov, informed the head of state about the complex.

It was reported that the purpose of creating the complex, which covers an area of 100 hectares, is to provide the country's population with high-quality dairy and meat products, to contribute to the export of these products, as well as to the development of the region, especially to the increase of employment in Shamakhi and surrounding regions.

The complex has conditions for keeping 9000 animals - 3200 dairy cows, 3000 beef cattle and 2800 calves. Currently, animals of Holstein-Friesian, Limousin, Aberdeen-Angus and other breeds are kept here.

Equipped with the latest technologies and controlled by means of artificial intelligence, this complex is one of the largest livestock enterprises in the Caucasus region and CIS.

This is the first breeding complex in our country that uses alternative and green energy.

In the complex, there will be a Training and Education Center that will teach the application of the world's advanced technologies for the training of highly qualified specialists.

The largest "Carousel" milking system of Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus, as well as "Parallel" milking systems were created in the enterprise. An online milk quality analyzer is installed at each milking point. In the country, an advanced system for rapid cooling of milk from 32 degrees to 4 degrees, as well as the first Reproduction Center operating on the basis of the latest genetic materials in the world, which ensures the increase of milk volume, has been established.

There is an innovative herd management system applied for early diagnosis and quick treatment of diseases among the kept animals. A special weighing system is used here for real-time herd development monitoring, effective fattening management and electronic weight calculation.

AfiCollar electronic collars are used for animal identification and health status registration, as well as for determining the exact time of insemination.

There is also a feed center equipped with innovative and special stationary equipment in the complex. A meat slaughtering station equipped with innovative systems and a "Dry Age" room was also created here.

More than 200 residents of Shamakhi and surrounding regions are employed in the enterprise. There is also a residential building on the territory of the complex for those who come to work here from other regions and foreign specialists.
