Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the new building of Shamakhi European High School

On March 23, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the new building of Shamakhi European high school built by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

President's assistant Anar Alakbarov informed the head of state about the conditions created in the high school.

It was reported that the previous building where the European high school was located was built in 1937. Since the building of the educational institution, which was rebuilt in 1987, became unusable in the past, a new high school building was built according to the instructions of Mehriban Aliyeva, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

This educational institution with 1200 students, consisting of 7 buildings with three and four floors, is one of the largest schools in the region. The high school is equipped with the necessary furniture and equipment, and the classrooms and laboratories are equipped with visual aids.

More than 50 classrooms, physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, informatics and STEAM, military training, medical and labor training rooms, a library, canteen, dance and gymnasiums, as well as an outdoor sports field have been created here.

The new building of the high school was built within the framework of the "New School for a Renewing Azerbaijan" Program implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Let's note that the development of education in Azerbaijan is one of the main priorities of the state policy. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation also makes great contributions to the work carried out in this direction at the state level. So far, more than 500 schools have been put into use in our country within the framework of the Foundation's "New School for Renewing Azerbaijan" Program.

In addition to the capital Baku, the implementation of such projects in the regions, first of all, creates comprehensive conditions for students living in the regions to receive a high level of education, and for them to master the secrets of science more deeply. At the same time, this clearly shows the development of the field of education in general in our country.
