Leyla Aliyeva participated in the "Assembly of Human Brotherhood" event in Abu Dhabi
On February 3, Leyla Aliyeva took part in the event called "Human Fraternity Majlis" at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi.
First, the video appeal of Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance of the United Arab Emirates, was shown.
Then the general secretary of the Council of Muslim Elders, Muhammad Abdulsalam, and the head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, spoke.
Cardinal George Koovakad read the letter of Pope Leo XIV addressed to the participants of the event.
A video about "Zayed Human Fraternity Award" was shown.
In the panel session entitled "Women's leadership is the foundation of human brotherhood", former President of Indonesia and Zayed Prize jury member Megawati Sukarnoputri, First Lady of Lebanon Nehmat Aoun, First Lady of Colombia Veronika Alcoser Garcia spoke.
Speaking at the panel session, Leyla Aliyeva stated that respect for different cultures, religions and traditions is always an integral part of the lifestyle in Azerbaijan. He emphasized that the children grew up in a friendly environment and with high family values, which formed them as strong personalities in the future. Speaking about the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's activities, Leyla Aliyeva said that many schools were built or renovated by the Foundation not only in Azerbaijan, but also in Pakistan, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Emphasizing the importance of changing the education system with the development of new technologies, Leyla Aliyeva said that this process has already begun.
Leyla Aliyeva noted that both parents and teachers should value children more, treat them with respect, and be able to listen to them.
Touching on the importance of protecting children from the negative effects of social media, Leyla Aliyeva stated that Azerbaijan is currently investigating ways to protect minors from harmful information based on international experience.
Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the first lady of Pakistan, also spoke at the event.
