Iran called Larijani's murder an act of terrorism and demanded a response from the UN
The killing of Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, is an act of terrorism.
This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic.
A statement issued by the ministry says: "Such acts of terrorism will not only undermine the iron will of the Iranian people to protect security and protect national interests, but also greatly increase the determination of the people and officials to defend their homeland."
In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran also noted that it expects a decisive and responsible response from the UN Security Council and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to the ongoing aggression of the United States and Israel.
