Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the work done in the field of restoration of private houses and infrastructure in Khanoba village of Khojavend
On March 18, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the first lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the works carried out in the field of restoration of private houses and infrastructure in the village of Khanoba, Khojavand district.
Emin Huseynov, the special representative of the President in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend regions, informed the head of state and the first lady about the works carried out and planned in the village.
Khanoba village is located in Khojavand district, 15 kilometers southwest of the district center. This is a settlement that belonged to the Karabakh khans. Before the occupation, a secondary school, a club, a library, a medical center, and a communication department operated in the village. The village was liberated from occupation as a result of the anti-terrorist operation carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in 2023.
The number of existing private houses in the village is 153. 21 of them are useless, and 132 are partially useful. 26 of the partially usable houses are ready for operation. 106 more houses will be ready by the end of this year.
A few days ago, 25 families - 114 people - returned to the village in the initial stage. Another 107 families are planned to be resettled by October. In total, 1818 people - 441 families returned to 6 settlements of Khojavand district since October of last year.
A number of works have been done in the direction of solving social issues in the village of Khanoba. The existing 2 transformer stations, electric and gas lines in the village were restored, at the same time, new electric, gas and optical lines were built, and repairs were made to the subartesian well and the pumping station.
