Iran hits Qatar's and world's largest liquefied natural gas complex - Gulf burns

Iran struck Qatar's Ras-Laffan industrial complex.

AZpress.AZ reports that after the attack, a powerful explosion occurred in the Ras-Laffan oil and gas complex, which is considered one of the largest liquefied gas (LNG) centers in the world, followed by a large-scale fire.

According to preliminary information, the incident covered a large part of the industrial zone and the facilities were seriously damaged. It is reported that Ras-Laffan is one of the main centers of global LNG production, and the terminals located here play an important role in supplying gas to the world market.

Qatar officials strongly condemned the attack and declared that they reserve the right to respond. The official statement emphasized that targeting energy facilities is unacceptable.

QatarEnergy, the largest energy company in Qatar, confirmed that serious damage occurred in the Ras-Laffan complex. According to the company's statement, as a result of the incident, there was a serious impact on the production and logistics chain in one of the main gas and energy infrastructures of the country.

It should be noted that the Ras-Laffan complex is one of the main pillars of Qatar's LNG export and is of strategic importance in the global energy market.
