As one of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijani fine arts, Farhad Khalilov is distinguished by his rich creativity, unique artistic style, and distinct signature. Working in various genres of easel painting, the artist combined different artistic approaches in his work, ranging from realism to avant-garde and abstract art. In his works, the variety of artistic expression means, the uniqueness of color and palette solutions, as well as the emotional power of the depicted space, attract attention.
The landscape genre, especially the Absheron theme, occupies an important place in the artist's work. In the works created based on the artist's personal observations and impressions, the nature of Absheron, coastal landscapes, villages, changing weather conditions, and its unique atmosphere find expression through color, light, and palette with an individual artistic interpretation.
Absheron is not only an object of depiction in his work, but also one of the main themes expressing the artist's feelings, thoughts, and worldview. In the artist's works, along with the visual characteristics of the space, there are also the emotional feelings it evokes.
Along with painting, graphics also occupy a special place in the People's Artist's work. Graphic works created in various formats and with different artistic approaches demonstrate the breadth of the master's creative range and his search for form and composition. The exhibition reveals how the Absheron theme evolved over time in the artist's work and the meaning it acquired in his personal artistic language.
