The name of ANAS has been mentioned frequently in social networks recently. It is regrettable that various articles are shared by people who do not have enough information about the topic, and some news sites publish unconfirmed information, even with pictures, and present it to public opinion. Sometimes these shares are sensational and as if a race is being held to spread the information faster.
I regret that such cases happen in the country where we live. Our scientists are of great value to the society. The path of science is a long, difficult and responsible path. On this path, a person conducts research for years, publishes scientific articles and books, increases his knowledge and experience, and rises to the top of science. It is truly a lifelong journey that requires a lot of hard work, patience and dedication.
It is very regrettable that some information resources show a frivolous and mocking attitude towards our intellectuals, who have devoted their whole lives to science, spent their lives in research and the development of the young generation. Instead of discussing the scientific activity, research and publications of scientists, it is not useful for society to turn the topic in a frivolous direction.
We must not forget that respect for science and scientists is an indicator of the development of society. Some of those who criticize a certain success or position today may not realize how difficult it is to reach that peak. But history shows that unwarranted criticism and prejudice do not diminish value; on the contrary, it can be an indicator of the work done and the respect earned.
Protecting the reputation of ANAS and science in general is the responsibility of each of us. Respecting science and scientists means respecting our future.
