In accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), dispatchers of the "Azeraeronavigation" Air Traffic Administration will be trained in the new complex. For this, the Aeronautical Training Center will operate based on the educational program of the German Aeronautical Academy (DFS), one of the world's leading aeronautical training centers.
The TWR tower simulator, which reflects a 360-degree panorama of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, as well as the radar simulator complex for airspace management have been installed here. These systems provide an opportunity for dispatchers to be trained in real operational conditions.
A modern training simulator complex has been installed in the center, as well as in airports, which allows improving the skills of drivers of various special vehicles in accordance with real working conditions.
In the International Training Center, it is planned to train about 30 air traffic controllers and 3,000 aircraft crews every year.
In addition, the Center was equipped with a new generation aircraft simulator of the type "A320/A321 NEO CEET" by "SkyArt", a Turkish company specialized in this field and internationally recognized, for the effective implementation of safety measures inside the aircraft cabin in emergency situations and various accidents. The simulator includes Door Trainers for the "Boeing 787" aircraft, as well as new generation Fire Fighting Training Devices (RFFT) that simulate real fire conditions.
