Journalists will meet with Hikmet Hajiyev

As reported, with the suspension of the "Azerbaijan" publishing house under the Presidential Administration for major repairs, serious problems have arisen in the professional activities of the editors who have been operating here for many years. The issue is that none of the editors located in the publishing house was offered an alternative place, so the unity of journalists was broken and they settled in every place. As if someone is going against the media policy of the country's President, who supports journalists, they are deliberately taking steps calculated to cause mass dissatisfaction.

Let's note that the appeal sent to the Presidential Administration by many journalists who could not move anywhere was also sent to the publishing house, which is the place of the problem. Currently, the journalists of those newsrooms cannot continue their professional activities, as well as take their belongings, equipment and computers from the closed publishing house.

The petition signed by about 60 journalists taking these into account has already been sent to the Presidential Administration for the second time. Moreover, by the order of the President's assistant, Mr. Hikmat Hajiyev, journalists have been advised to be patient twice, discussions are held in the Press Council, and a promise is made that the problem will be solved. But still the problem remains unsolved.

Finally, on the recommendation of the relevant official body, whose name we do not want to name yet, representatives of the journalists' authority - Asif Marzili, the head of the "Tazadlar" newspaper and the website of the same name, Ilgar Salmanov, the head of the "Yenixeber.org" website, and Shirin Jafari, the owner of the "Gundemxeber.org" portal, were invited to the reception of the presidential assistant Hikmet Hajiyev. Journalists interviewed at the Reception Center of the Administration explained the situation in detail.

Thus, on March 5, journalists will meet with Mr. Hikmat Hajiyev to clarify the artificial problems created around the "Azerbaijan" publishing house, and listen to the proposals of the editors.
